wow, lots of ground to cover here, firstly the mod on Gamespy wasn't the one msging everyone! Get your heads out of your asses. This has been said over and over again, it was just some bored kid who took a similar name and spammed people.

I had made a question about this and many others, if you look back a few page's you'll see the post I made about the questions I asked. Unfortunatly there were very few questions answered and of those answers came the same bland reply's that were really non-information. So since the real admin said all the questions that were asked were given to the development team it was their choice to dodge any comment that hasn't already been asked beforehand. Not sticking up for gamespy here, they totally ruined Mplayer and totally failed at integrating it into their BS system.

What are you talking about? The skills obtained in GWEN will obviously be useable in any of the chapters. What would make you think otherwise? And on the Diablo comment it was never about the items in LOD being too powerful, they didn't allow gamers who didn't have LOD to play with those who did because they didn't want those who wouldn't fork out the extra cash to benefit. That's the reason why they divided the community the way they did. On top of that they were probably too lazy to attempt balancing it out so they just made two seperate communities. And if you deny their lazyness were you around waiting for the 1.09 or 1.10 patch?

Ah yes, the importance of knowing what snacks they're having opposed to knowing when/if this game is ever going to be balanced.

I'm can't believe all 100 PVE-only skills are going to non-profession specific! Will we all just use the same skillbar so that profession doesn't matter anymore? And how many different factions could there be to grind for?

I'm afraid GWEN will be really tiny. Is nobody else bothered by this?:
Fan Question: How long will the storyline be?
Dev Answer: It has great voice acting!
Thats even worse than the Factions answer where they told us "Cantha isn't quite as big as Tyria, but the mobs are packed in really close!"

I'm really psyched about the insignias for old armors, though. I'll be buying myself a set of Radiant Sacred armor the day that update goes live.

Ok so over all there was no breaking info given plus players got harrassed by either an admin or someone posing as one. Not to mention a program thats natorious for spyware was chosen to be used. Very glad I chose not to waste my time. Have to say after reading most the thread and the numerous logs and accounts here, I doubt I would even think about joining a dev chat in the future either, can garrentee I wont if its on that chat system again.

I appreciate the time and effort that may have gone into setting up this chat.

However, it was basically an advertisement for upcoming expansions. We could have gotten the same thing from press releases or some PC gaming magazine interview.

Maybe next time if you are going to limit the questions to a topic or certain topics just let us know.

It seems strange to me that the opportunity was used to promote future sales rather than dealing with current issues.

Disappointing to say the least.

I'm assuming (hoping) that the PvE skills they were referring to are the ones that they've been promising for months, not the ones that will come with GW:EN.

Insignias added to Prophecies/Factions armors - SWEET!!#!@!

Inscriptions might be added to weapons, but the old ones won't be affected - very nice job, A-Net. I wonder if the non-inscribable ones will still drop, however...

None of the new skills are profession specific.
That is a bit of a disappointment for the paragon. And no one is as much of a para-enthusiast as myself.

I can't imagine that all 100 PvE skills from GW:EN will not be profession-specific...how would that even work? They must be talking about the PvE-only skills that were supposed to be added with the HM update. There will probably be 10 or so, and you can have one in at a time.

I think this needs to be clarified...

this was stated in the inquirer article:
Quote:
18 new multi-level dungeons, 40 new armour sets, 10 new Heroes and massive 150 new skills, out of which 50 belong only to PvE (Player versus Enviroment).
and this is a quote from the Dev chat:
Quote:
Q:Are all the PvE-only skills going to be useable for any proffession, or are they profession based?

A:None of the new skills are profession specific.
